I’ve been working at the hospital for almost three years now and I think I have the experience at this point to attempt to pass the CCS. The hospital is offering an instant raise to anyone who obtains this certification and I can certainly use the money.
What I’m not sure about is how much preparation I need to pass the exam. I’ve been doing this off and on for most of my time at the hospital. Is this going to be enough to pass on the first try? I’m considering picking up some materials for ccs exam preparation just to make sure I know everything required. I guess too much preparation can’t hurt.
It’s taken me awhile to get to where I’m at and this may be the last hurdle to clear before I get a big promotion. I never thought my career would end up taking me this direction but now that I’m here, I feel like I was born to do this.
